A clean heart is not something we manufacture by our own striving; it is the work of God within us. After his failure, David did not ask only for forgiveness — he asked to be made new, for a heart cleansed and a spirit set right before the Lord. So it is with us. God calls us not merely to turn from sin, but to be remade in holiness. Come before Him today with nothing hidden. Confess what He already sees, and ask Him to create in you what you cannot create in yourself. He is faithful to cleanse, to renew, and to restore the joy of His salvation.
"Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me."
— Psalm 51:10
