Community Outreach Day
About This Event.
Join us as we share the love of Christ with our neighborhood through service, prayer, and the Gospel. Volunteers gather at 9:00 AM.
On Saturday, June 27th, the grounds of Hope for Living Ministries will become a field ripe unto harvest. This is not a program or a passing gesture of goodwill — Community Outreach Day is a deliberate, prayer-soaked labor to carry the Gospel of Jesus Christ out of these walls and into the streets and homes of our neighborhood. We are commanded to "go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in" (Luke 14:23), and on this day we mean to obey. The lost, the weary, the broken, and the bound are our errand, for the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost.
Throughout the day our hands will serve and our lips will testify. There will be food for the hungry, help for the burdened, and laborers ready to pray with any who will let us bring their need before the throne of grace. But understand this: bread feeds the body for a day, while the Gospel saves the soul forever. We are not here merely to be kind; we are here that men and women might repent, be washed in the precious blood of the Lamb, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. We expect God to move. Where the church goes forth in prayer and holiness, chains are broken and hearts are turned.
This day is for every soul within reach of these grounds — the neighbor who has never darkened a church door, the family in quiet crisis, the wanderer who thinks God has forgotten them. He has not. And it is for you, child of God, called to be a witness and not a spectator. Come and lend your hands, your voice, and your intercession to this work.
Come early, come ready, and come expecting. Let us be found laboring while it is yet day, for the night cometh, and the Lord is soon to return. Bring a neighbor. Bring the burden of a lost loved one. Heaven is watching, and souls are at stake.
